Type ZR saddle clamps
On the market they are called cylinder pipe clamps and allow the safe and equally flexible installation of cables on cylinders and other cylindrically round or oval basic bodies.
When guiding or fastening pipes, tubes and hoses to hydraulic cylinders, the well-known and proven STAUFF Clamps, e.g. in the contentional block-type design according to DIN 3015, often quickly reach their limits.
Type ZR Saddle Clamps from STAUFF offer a solution. These are also known in the market as piggyback clamps and allow the safe and also very flexible installation of pipes, tubes and hoses on cylinders and other round or oval structures – without damaging their strength, integrity and surface coating as with screw-fixing or welding and without preparation or reworking.
The simple system also allows a tube or hose with a small outer diameter to be installed on top of a significantly larger one. The clamps can be used in areas that are difficult to access. The position can be adjusted afterwards thanks to free axial and radial positioning of the clamps on the structure. This also makes the system suitable for retrofitting.
The standard version ZR-518-SA73 made of thermoplastic elastomer material covers diameters in a range from 50 to 200 millimetres for the cylinder and 10 to 22 millimetres for the attached pipe, tube or hose. The diameters to be covered are used to calculate the overall length of the required tension band or the dimensions of the worm drive clamp, e.g. according to DIN 3017.

STAUFF meets deviating requirements with numerous other variants which were implemented in the past and can be manufactured again at any time.
If required, customised clamps can be developed for specific requirements or manufactured based on drawings and models provided.
